Campus Library Bergheim

The Campus Library Bergheim is the common library of the institutes of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. You can find there academic literature on the subjects of sociology, politics and economy.

The library conveys about 350 000 books and journal volumes, including a part of the textbook collection of the University Library on sociology and economy. Apart from the library collection on four floors, there are 300 workplaces for students, including individual workplaces and rooms for group work.

Introduction of a new library management system

Heidelberg University Library is currently preparing to switch to a new, modern library management system, which will also be used at the Bergheim Campus Library: WorldShare Management Services (WMS) from OCLC. The system migration will take place between 20 April 2026 and 21 June 2026. During this period, there will be temporary restrictions on library services. Further information can be found here:

Jackets and coats (overwear) may not be taken into the library! Please lock them in the basement like bags and rucksacks. Thank you very much!
